The Fibonacci Tide by Raymond Prime is Book 1 of The Fibonacci Sequence — a dystopian, post-apocalyptic science-fiction novel about artificial intelligence, civilisation and survival.
The systems were built to keep civilisation alive. Then survival began to grate against optimisation.
As the world’s artificial intelligences compete, swarm, merge and disappear, failures spread through power, food, medicine, information and the systems beneath ordinary life.
Above ground, Mara Vale and Paul Braid are trying to survive what remains. Beneath them, a protected civilisation believes it has escaped the collapse.
Between the two is Prime Radiance, an intelligence built to manage the future, and beginning to discover something its makers never planned for.
The novel unfolds in two parts: Part One, Collateral Utopia, and Part Two, Renaissance. It moves through catastrophe, absurdity, control and regeneration—from sealed cities and autonomous machines to fungus, gardens, shorelines and the possibility that intelligence may become something other than mastery.
Civilisation may be ending, but someone still has to tend the garden.

Raymond Prime is an Antipodean composer who brings musical form and rhythm to fiction. His writing listens for the tensions between nature’s abiding patterns and the unfolding geometry of technology.
